Wet V.2

Wet V.2

Wet was created by experimenting with the Feedback Organ circuit. I simply replaced the speaker inside the feedback organ with a reverb tank when my friend Sourcery Studios was visiting. We both marveled at the sound and started switching out capacitors to get a bunch of different tones from it (thats why it has a rotary switch that just goes between different capacitors).

In the Wet V.2 edition I gave Wet a dry signal path, so you can blend. I also introduce a feedback loop so you can make the springs tank sing all by itself!

Wet V.2 User Guide

This pedal uses a unique bypass switching system that I call "Triple Bypass", where you have three different "modes" for turning the pedal on and off:

  1. Short Press: Works like any regular pedal. Press to turn it on and then press to turn it off.
  2. Momentary/Hold: If you press and hold for about 1-2 seconds the pedal will enter a hold mode. Here it will simply stay in the state it entered when pressing down the button, for however long you decide to hold down the button, and then return when you release the button. So if you press down when the pedal is turned OFF it will stay ON for as long as you hold the button pressed down, and vice versa.
  3. Tap Tempo Bypass: If you quickly double tap the bypass button (either when on or off) the pedal will enter the Tap Tempo Bypass mode. Here the pedal automatically turns itself on/off in whichever tempo you tap. So to change tempo you simply tap a new tempo.

N.B. Cozy continuously counts the time since your last tap. So if you have been in a tempo for some time and give the footswitch another single tap, it will set your new tempo based on the time between the pervious tap and the new tap - upto a maxium length of around 1min.

To exit Tap Tempo Bypass you simply press and hold the button for about 2 seconds. Note that when exiting this mode the pedal will be ON (regardless of if the pedal is in an OFF or ON state).

Controls:

WET: Volume knob for the wet signal.

CAP: Rotary switch to change capacitor going into the spring tank. Since larger value = lower tone this can greatly affect how the rest of the circuit behaves and sounds.

DRIVE: In Wet V.2 I utilize a LM386 amplifier to drive the spring tank. This knob sets the amplification of this chip with a gain ranging from 20 to 200.

BOOST: This knob boost the spring tank signal radically. Making it go really screamy and fuzzy. Very fun together with Cap of choice.

DRY: Volume knob for your dry input signal.

VOL: General volume knob for your completed sound of choice.

FEED (plus 2 small buttons and right footswitch): This knob is disengaged when none of the latching push buttons (or the momentary footswitch) are pressed. If anything is pushed down then it tries its hardest to make the pedal not feedback and scream. Please enjoy making it hard for it. The "Fast" button makes it harder than the "slow" button and the footswitch is like a momentary "Fast".

Enjoy!
